I seem to be collecting hobbies this deployment. I'm still rockin' the ocarina but now I'm also rockin' something else. The hula hoop.
I've been at it for 3 days now. Today I borrowed an adult sized hoop from my friend, she used to be a regular hooper and made this hoop herself. I'll use this until I can buy one of my own, hopefully on Sunday when I go meet with some Austin hoopers for a little jam session. A couple of the ladies there make them for sell. I'm excited to go out there and hoop as a group.

I'm having loads of fun. Plus it's exercise! You can't beat that. I now need to get mini ones for the kids. Because they are getting into it too...

very cool! i used to love hula hooping. my purple and white one from when i was a kid is still hanging up in the garage, so whenever my brother is washing the cars and we're at my parents' i hoop. my daughter thinks it's the coolest thing. =p
